据介绍，“十三五”以来，我国光纤宽带用户占比从2015年底的56%提升至现在的94%，千兆光网覆盖家庭超1.2亿户，4G基站规模占全球总量一半以上。累计建成5G基站79.2万个，独立组网模式的5G网络已覆盖所有地级市，我国初步建成全球最大规模的5G移动网络，5G终端连接数已达2.6亿。行政村通光纤和4G比例均超99%，城乡“数字鸿沟”明显缩小。工信部副部长刘烈宏说：“目前，我国固定宽带和移动网络端到端用户体验速度分别达到51.2Mbps和33.8Mbps，较五年前增长了约7倍。我国固定宽带速率在全球176个国家和地区中排名第18位，移动网络速率在全球139个国家和地区中排名第4位。”
